Clay (born August 12, 1999), better known online as DreamWasTaken (or simply Dream), is an American YouTuber and Twitch streamer. He is best known for his Minecraft Manhunt videos and for owning the Dream SMP.
As well as creating the Dream SMP, Dream also plays a large role in its lore.
Currently, he posts Minecraft Manhunt and other Minecraft challenge videos on YouTube and occasionally streams on Twitch. He also appears in videos on the other Minecraft Manhunt and Dream SMP members' channels, especially those of the Dream Team (Dream, George, and Sapnap). He is often compared to Technoblade for his Minecraft PvP skills and is also well-known for his avatar's smile and distinct wheezing laugh.
Dream is considered one of the fastest-rising breakout content creators by the Twitch, YouTube, and Minecraft communities. At the 2020 Streamys, he was nominated for the Breakout Creator award and won the Gaming award.[1]

Dream's channel started growing rapidly after he posted one of his first videos, which was about finding PewDiePie's Minecraft world's seed.
Minecraft Manhunt[]
Dream posted his first Minecraft Manhunt video, "Minecraft Speedrunner VS Hunter", on December 26, 2019.[2] This video quickly became popular and spawned the Manhunt series, where Dream attempts to beat the Ender dragon while hunters tried to stop him. Every several videos, another hunter was added, and currently, there are five hunters (George, Sapnap, BadBoyHalo, Antfrost, and Awesamdude.). This series propelled him to mainstream fame and success.

Alongside Manhunts, Dream regularly posts "Minecraft, but..." challenges and Unsolved Mystery videos, where he explores topics such as Minecraft Monday. He also posted several speedrunning videos.
Personal Life[]
Dream has an younger sister (Drista), older sister, and younger brother. He also made the quarterback team of his official high school flag football team, though he also played Basketball and Soccer as well in his youth. He currently resides within the city of Florida (with his cat Patches and his best friend Sapnap). He is agnostic. Clay is also identified in height as over 6'2" (189 centimeters) tall. He was also an former employee for AppleCare.
Dream SMP[]
Dream created the Dream SMP, then called the Dream Team SMP, with the other members of the Dream Team on April 25, 2020. The Dream Team streamed playing leisurely with the other members of the server at the time, ItsAlyssa and Callahan, who were friends of Dream.
After Tommy and Wilbur introduced roleplay to the SMP, the Dream Team played a major role by opposing Wilbur's new nation of L'Manberg, resulting in a war. Afterwards, Dream actively participated in major lore events, while Sapnap and George played more minor roles. Dream's character, who is manipulative and power-hungry, is often considered the main antagonist of the server's storyline.
