MC Championship, also known as Minecraft Championship or MCC, is a popular Minecraft event run by Noxcrew and Dangthatsalongname (Scott Smajor) for Minecraft streamers. The two- to three-hour event takes place once a month and puts the participants in teams that compete against each other in several custom minigames, including Ace Race, Battle Box, Hole in the Wall, and Parkour Warrior. At the end of the minigames, the two teams with the most points compete in a game of Dodgebolt, which determines the winner of the MCC. Members of the winning team are sent an MCC coin.
MCC Season 1 began on November 17, 2019 and ended on December 12, 2020. Season 2 began on May 29, 2021 and ended on December 3, 2022.[1]
MCC also occasionally hosts special events for charity.
The main MC Championship wiki is the MCChampionship Wiki. The MC Championship website can be found here and the event scoreboard can be found here.
The MCC trailer was posted on Noxcrew's YouTube channel on November 7, 2019.[2] All MCC participants streamed their points of view, including the MCC admins.
MCC events are occasionally themed; for example, MCC 4 was Easter-themed and included an egg hunt and Easter decorations.
Minigames[]
Excluding Dodgebolt, MCC has several custom minigames. Eight of these minigames are played in every tournament and are decided through participant voting (Decision Dome) and audience voting (Audience Takeover). As the event progresses, minigames are worth more points.
