MC Championship 9

Blue Bats win MCC 9.

MC Championship 9, also known as MCC 9, was the ninth week of MC Championship and took place on September 12, 2020 at 3 PM ET.

Blue Bats (HBomb94, FalseSymmetry, fruitberries, and Rendog) won. MCC 9 used the same teams as MCC 8. It also introduced Sky Battle, which Skyblockle was swapped out for, and added minigame maps.

Changes

MCC 9 introduced some minigame updates.

• Sky Battle, similar to Hypixel's Sky Wars, was added.
• New Battle Box (Train Station) and Rocket Spleef maps were added.
• Sands of Time was adjusted and a new obstacle was added to Parkour Warrior.

Games

Wilbur and Tommy used MCC 9 to continue a deal from MCC 8. Wilbur kept Tommy's vlog guns from the Brighton Meetup and offered a deal with Tommy for them during MCC 8. Due to the team placing sixth, Wilbur destroyed the first vlog gun. However, because the team would have placed higher if Wilbur had not experienced connectivity issues, Wilbur asked Scott to keep the same teams in MCC 9 and offered Tommy an updated deal for the second vlog gun:

• Sixth or lower: The vlog gun would be destroyed.
• Fifth or higher: The vlog gun would not get destroyed and Tommy would join SBI.
• Third: Wilbur would ship Tommy his vlog gun and Tommy would join SBI.
• Second: Wilbur would ship Tommy his vlog gun and call Tommy the best member of SBI.
• First: Wilbur would ship Tommy his vlog gun, call Tommy the best member of SBI, and donate £15000 to him.

Game 1 (Sky Battle)

This game included a x1.0 point multiplier.

• Round 1: The team was quickly eliminated by Yellow Yaks (Quig and Mefs).
• Round 2: Phil and Wilbur were eliminated early by Yellow Yaks (Quig). Scott and Tommy were later eliminated in the final fight by Green Guardians (GeorgeNotFound and Sapnap).
• Round 3: The team was eliminated early on by Aqua Axolotls (Cxlvxn and Techno) and Lime Llamas (Tubbo).

Red Rabbits placed sixth with 922 points. Individually, Tommy placed second (618 points) and Wilbur placed fifth (522 points).

Green Guardians won with 1,768 points.

Game 2 (TGTTOSAWAF)

This game included a x1.5 point multiplier.

TGTTOSAWAF consisted of six rounds, all with different maps.

• Round 1: Fifth (Phil);
• Round 2: Third (Tommy) and fifth (Wilbur);
• Round 5: Second (Scott) and sixth (Tommy); and
• Round 6: Fifth (Tommy).

Red Rabbits placed third with 3,043 points. Individually, Tommy placed fourth (412 points).

Green Guardians won with 3,322 points.

Game 3 (Parkour Warrior)

This game included a x1.5 point multiplier.

Red Rabbits placed fifth with 5,083 points.

Game 4 (Hole in the Wall)

This game included a x2.0 point multiplier.

Hole in the Wall consisted of three rounds. Phil placed second in the first round.

Game 5 (Battle Box)

This game included a x2.0 point multiplier.

Red Rabbits won two of the nine rounds.

• Round 1: Lost to Green Guardians.
• Round 2: Lost to Pink Parrots.
• Round 3: Lost to Blue Bats.
• Round 4: Won against Yellow Yaks.
• Round 5: Won against Aqua Axolotls.
• Round 6: Lost to Cyan Creepers.

Red Rabbits placed seventh with 8,183 points.

Lime Llamas won with 11,446 points.

Game 6 (Ace Race)

This game included a x2.5 point multiplier.

Phil finished 9th. Red Rabbits placed sixth with 11,278 points.

Lime Llamas won with 13,889 points.

Game 7 (Survival Games)

This game included a x2.5 point multiplier.

Phil was eliminated at the beginning by Aqua Axolotls (Technoblade). Scott, Wilbur, and Tommy were eliminated during the final fight, with Tommy being the second-to-last eliminated. Red Rabbits placed sixth with 14,228 points. Individually, Tommy placed eighth (2,436 points).

Blue Bats won with 20,307 points.

Game 8 (Sands of Time)

This game included a x3.0 point multiplier.

Red Rabbits was the second team to bank their coins and leave the dungeon. Red Rabbits placed fifth with 17,996 points.

Blue Bats won with 24,258 points.

Results

Wilbur accidentally breaks Tommy's vlog gun.

Dodgebolt was between Blue Bats and Green Guardians. Green Guardians won two rounds of Dodgebolt before losing three rounds. Blue Bats placed first as a team with 24,258 points.

Due to Wilbur's deal with Tommy, Wilbur promised to not destroy the vlog gun and allowed Tommy to join SBI. He then attempted to fire a victory shot. However, the vlog gun broke when he pulled the trigger too hard.

Trivia

• Tubbo debuted in MCC 9.
• Wilbur's stream crashed during Ace Race.
