MC Championship Pride 2021

MC Championship Pride 2021, also known as MCC P21, was a special event of MC Championship that took place on June 26, 2021 at 3 PM ET. This MCC was partnered with YouTube Gaming. All event donations, donated through mcc.live/pride, and $100,000 from YouTube Gaming were given to the Trevor Project.

Due to partnering with YouTube Gaming, many new players participated in the event.

Changes

The exclusive MCC P21 coin.

MCC P21 received many pride-themed cosmetics and updates, as well as changes to better accommodate new MCC players.

• Special additions were added when donation goals were reached. These included cosmetic perks, ridable unicorns, and special items in the Hub and Decision Dome.
• All minigame maps were redesigned to be pride-themed, with a few tweaks made to Hole in The Wall and Parkour Tag for fairer scoring and gameplay.
• A new map was added to Battle Box, Ace Race used the Clouds map, and the first game of TGTTOSAWAF was changed to the first tunnel of Terra Swoop Force.
• A new MCC coin for MCC P21 was added.

Games

Game 1 (Ace Race)

The redesigned "Clouds" Ace Race map.

Due to MCC's new participants, Ace Race used the "Clouds" map, the original and easiest map.

Pink Parrots played well, with Techno placing first individually. Ph1LzA donated $1,000 to the livestream charity when Wilbur succeeded in not swearing during the game, despite encountering glitches.

Lime Llamas tied for fourth with 1,214 points. Pink Parrots placed second with 1,500 points.

Game 2 (Sky Battle)

This game included a x1.5 point multiplier.

Prior to the game, event donations unlocked Mega Chicken Swap during Decision Dome. Rather than throwing eggs, players stood in the section of the game they wanted to play.

Lime Llamas won Round 1 and lasted until the final battle in Rounds 2 and 3.

Pink Parrots performed well in Rounds 1 and 3, with Wilbur eliminating four players at once during Round 1 and Techno eliminating five in the final battle of Round 3.

Lime Llamas placed third with 3,545 points. Pink Parrots placed fourth with 3,390 points.

Game 3 (Big Sales at Build Mart)

This game included a x1.5 point multiplier.

Prior to the game, event donations unlocked Dunk Bonanza during Decision Dome. All teams dunked each other, and the chickens tied the vote. Build Mart was randomly chosen.

Lime Llamas placed fifth with 5,357 points. Pink Parrots placed second with 5,862 points.

Game 4 (Hole in the Wall)

This game included a x2.0 point multiplier.

During Decision Dome, Pink Parrots were dunked immediately.

Wisp placed third in Round 1. Grian placed second and SolidarityGaming placed third in Round 3.

Lime Llamas placed fifth with 7,565 points. Pink Parrots placed second with 8,374 points.

Game 5 (Parkour Tag)

This game included a x2.0 point multiplier.

Pink Parrots asking for a pause after Wilbur's fire alarm went off.

Game 5 was decided by the Audience Takeover and included a brief break. During the break, Grian led the Pink Parrots in a breathing exercise and hit his gong.

Lime Llamas won Rounds 2, 4, and 8.

Pink Parrots won Rounds 1, 2, 3, and 5 before the fire alarm in Wilbur's office went off after Round 6. Wilbur was not able to participate in the last three rounds, but Pink Parrots still won Round 9. Techno also tagged all of other team's runners under 20 seconds each time he hunted.

Lime Llamas placed sixth with 9,477 points. Pink Parrots placed second with 10,884 points.

Game 6 (Battle Box)

This game included a x2.5 point multiplier.

Prior to the game, event donations unlocked rainbow chicken and rainbow sweater cosmetics. Phil substituted in the game for Wilbur and remained whitelisted, spectating, for the rest of the event. Pink Parrots were also dunked again during Decision Dome.

Lime Llamas won all nine rounds.

Pink Parrots won eight, losing only to Lime Llamas.

Lime Llamas placed fourth with 14,427 points. Pink Parrots won with 15,284 points.

Game 7 (TGTTOSAWAF)

This game included a x2.5 point multiplier.

Techno ringing the bell while on a unicorn.

Prior to the game, event donations unlocked unicorns. Techno briefly rode a unicorn and rang the bell in the Hub, and Wilbur returned to the game despite the fire alarm continuing to ring. Additionally, Wilbur's eighth individual ranking was lost because Phil's points were not added to his own, and Pink Parrots were dunked during Decision Dome.

Pink Parrots received the team bonus in Rounds 1, 3, and 5.

Lime Llamas received the team bonus in Round 4. Tubbo also placed first in Round 3.

Lime Llamas placed third with 17,737 points. Pink Parrots won with 19,069 points.

Game 8 (Survival Games)

This game included a x3.0 point multiplier.

Prior to the game, event donations unlocked rainbow and unicorn hat cosmetics. Only eight games were available during the event, so Survival Games was automatically chosen as the last game.

Lime Llamas was immediately attacked and split by Red Rabbits, and the team was eliminated right before the final battle.

Pink Parrots stuck together the entire game, but was targeted during the final battle.

Lime Llamas placed fourth with 19,729 points. Pink Parrots placed third with 22,765 points, coming only two points behind Orange Ocelots.

Results

Aqua Axolotls win MCC P21.

Aqua Axolotls played Dodgebolt against Orange Ocelots and won with 25,888 points. Lime Llamas placed fourth and Pink Parrots placed third. Individually, Techno placed third (3,925 points) and Tommy placed fifth (3,204 points).

After the Aqua Axolotls won, all of the participants were sorted into Aqua Axolotls and Orange Ocelots and played Dodgebolt, which Aqua Axolotls won again. Phil was also put into the game, making it 21 vs 20, but was shot immediately.

Trivia

• All streaming participants streamed the event on YouTube.
• This MCC was "non-canon" due to its partnerships. Teams were balanced for dynamics rather than event coins, as many usual MCC players were unable to stream the event.
• Yellow Yaks (Ellen Rose, Mike Channell, Jane Douglas, and Andy Farrant) work as part of the OutsideXbox crew.
• Krinios originally planned to stream as part of the Aqua Axolotls. However, he backed out due to personal reasons, and was replaced by Illumina.
• The pride decorations included a bell in the Hub, which Techno rang often.
