Minecraft Ultimate, also known as MC Ultimate, is a Minecraft charity event founded by Pikaclicks (Noah) and currently run by DrCandyMan and RealM0F. The event puts the participants in teams that compete against each other in a game of Hunger Games, where each player can respawn after completing a challenge. Players can also gain items and pets from donations, which then go to the player's chosen charity.

Format

Minecraft Ultimate features a round of Hunger Games with several teams of four. Players can ride on their teammates and respawn once by winning a parkour race. Viewers can also donate Food, Combat, and Pet Lucky Blocks that provide resources for players. These donations are later given to each player's chosen charity.

Season 2

Technoblade, Cxlvxn, and xNestorio teamed for Season 2, which took place on July 25, 2020 at 4 PM ET. Techno was added as a last-minute player when two members of Calvin and Nestorio's team dropped out. Due to his reputation of being good at PvP, Techno replaced both of the players. Many fans believed that his team would win anyway. In response, Noah tweeted out:

"Unpopular opinion but I don’t actually think Nestor, Cal, and Techno are gonna win tomorrow. I’ve challenged them with an immediate disadvantage of being a team of 3 in a team of 4 event on 1.12... that’s gonna be really hard no matter how good they might be"

During the event, Techno quickly used Lucky Blocks to craft diamond swords and diamond gear. The team eliminated a few players, but found it difficult to find teams to fight. Techno then began to fly the team around via elytra, which allowed them to eliminate other players easily. Players soon began to cross-team against them, which culminated in a final battle where the 21 remaining players from other teams allied against Techno, Calvin, and Nestorio. Despite the other side having many more players, the three-person team won the event.

The team broke several records during Season 2. Techno eliminated 47 players, Calvin eliminated 40, and Nestorio eliminated 29; they placed first, second, and third individually. All three broke the previous individual record of 19 kills. Techno raised $11,625, nearly a third of the total money raised during the event ($36,264), and donated the money to the Miracle Foundation (a charity supporting orphaned children). Techno also broke his viewership record (120,536 concurrent viewers).

Due to the team's success, Noah's tweet became a copypasta and meme.

Trivia

• Several gameplay features, such as elytras, were nerfed following Season 2. These changes are often attributed to Techno's use of them to gain so many kills.
