"One Day" is a song by British indie band Lovejoy. The song was released as part of their debut EP, Are You Alright? (2021). It was first and only song from the EP teased by Wilbur Soot during one of his streams, and it is the band's best-known song for the opening lines: "And stop / 'Cause why'd you have to kill my cat?"
A music video for "One Day" was released on May 9, 2021.
Music video[]
The video is a recording of the band in Brighton at night, recorded and edited in a vintage movie-reel style by Wilbur and Elodie Grenville.[1] Wilbur leaves a room and heads onto a balcony, where he sees Ash Kabosu arrive via bus and begin playing the guitar. Wilbur sings the first verse and chorus on the street. Joe Goldsmith then continues walking and sings the second verse, bumping into two hooded men (David and Nathan Kidd), before David and Nathan beat him up. The video then features Mark Boardman during the guitar solo with Ash laying facedown nearby. At the end, Wilbur yells the lyrics "fucking inconsistent" while sitting against a building.
