The Old Seed Origins SMP, featuring most of the builds around Niki's Lake.
History of the Origins SMP encompasses the past developments of members of the Origins SMP. TommyInnit first founded the server on February 11, 2021 and joined with several other members. They quickly began to establish builds and tested their origins' abilities through minor conflicts.
Until April 2021, the members played on the old seed. The members established their homes, with Wilbur hosting a housewarming party. They then built The Pube, a pub that acted as a community hub, and diverged to do their own projects.
In September 2021, the server will be restarted with a new seed, with only The Pube carrying over.[1]
Season 1[]
New members: TommyInnit, Wilbur Soot, JackManifoldTV, Niki Nihachu, Ph1LzA, Ranboo, Tubbo, Jschlatt (as Fragrance Man), Charlie Slimecicle
On February 11, 2021, Tommy, Wilbur, Jack Manifold, Niki Nihachu, Philza, Ranboo, and Tubbo joined the server and immediately began experimenting with their origins' abilities. While Wilbur and Phil built a haunted manor by the lake at spawn, Niki set up residence in the lake, Tubbo and Ranboo built their own houses nearby, and Tommy attempted to rescue Jack from the Nether. Wilbur and Phil's collaboration began an unofficial agreement to help each other with projects, with Wilbur planning and Phil building. Meanwhile, Tommy attempted to indebt people to himself by offering minor aid.
Wilbur's housewarming party[]
Shortly afterwards, Wilbur announced a housewarming party in his manor. The manor included a fish tank for Niki, later starting a trend of prioritizing accessibility in builds in order to work around everyone's different origins. Fragrance Man joined for the party and demonstrated his ability to reproduce scents, including wood, glass, and sand. After being discovered as an Arachnid, Fragrance Man fled, temporarily lost his scent-producing abilities, and died by jumping off a pillar. An impromptu funeral was held.
Minor conflicts[]
Charlie Slimecicle joined on February 22, 2021 and briefly established New America with Ranboo, when the two attempted to speedrun American history. They then participated in a fight in the newly established pub, where they, Wilbur, and Tubbo fought to determine their abilities' strengths in combat. Due to Charlie's ability to shrink after losing health, he won the fight.
On April 1, Tommy and Phil engaged in a minor conflict after Tommy, angered by a comment, killed two of Phil's parrots. In retaliation, Phil blew up Tommy's recently built work palace, and the two agreed to a temporary truce.
The Pub reopening[]
New members: Sneegsnag, Scott Smajor, Technoblade, Fundy
On March 29, 2021, Wilbur took charge of Jack and Tommy's pub for renovations, renaming it The Pube and recruiting Phil and several others. After a period of development and construction, The Pub was built from a platform in the sky to an accessible floating island with a large Tudor-style tavern and was returned to Jack and Tommy. On April 14, The Pub hosted an official reopening, during which three new members joined: Sneegsnag, Scott Smajor, and Technoblade. Although Techno only joined briefly, Sneeg and Scott tested their abilities and began settling around Niki's Lake.
Fundy joined a day later, on April 15, as a fox. He immediately turned to theft, creating tension between him, Scott, and Phil.
Superhero Programme[]
After the pub reopening, Tommy established Innit Incorporated with Ranboo and recruited Phil to their new Superhero Programme. Although the program was unnecessary, Tommy and Ranboo arranged several crimes and deemed Phil "Crow Father, champion of Mortlake" in order to convince him to participate. Aside from solving the staged crimes, Phil only stopped Fundy from theft once as part of his Crow Father duties on May 8, and the prison Wilbur attempted to build for him, named the Crow Nest, disintegrated due to a silverfish infestation.
Season 2[]
New members: beautie_
On September 27, 2021, the server was restarted with a brand new seed in an experimental 1.18 snapshot. All the members kept the same origins, but lost their items; only The Pube carried over.[2] The members immediately began to explore the terrain, especially the new caves, and Sneeg quickly found an enchanted golden apple. They then began establishing their bases: Niki set up in a flooded ravine, Tommy at the base of a mountain, and Phil on top of another mountain, where the powdered snow made sure everyone but him needed to watch their step.
As the members gathered resources, Wilbur claimed that Tommy would eventually evolve into an Elytrian like Phil. In light of this, Tubbo, Ranboo, and Phil attempted to teach him how to fly, with limited success. Tommy also hatched two chickens in The Pube and adopted them as his children. One, Hetta, currently resides in Tommy's base, while the other roams The Pube's floating island.
On October 16, 2021, beautie_ joined the server.
