Channel Description

Thomas Michael Simons (born April 9, 2004), better known online as TommyInnit, is an English YouTuber and Twitch streamer. Similar to Technoblade, Tommy is known for his Minecraft-centered content and his collaborations with other Minecraft content creators, specifically the other members of the Sleepy Bois Inc. and Tubbo. His role in the Dream SMP server launched him to fame; his character is often considered the main protagonist of the server's storyline.

Tommy has been/is part of three major SMPs: SMPEarth, Dream SMP, and Origins SMP.

Currently, Tommy frequently uploads comedy-centered Minecraft videos on his main YouTube channel and occasionally uploads on his second channel, TommyOutit, and vlogs channel, Tom Simons. He also streams on Twitch, mostly Dream SMP content, and posts the VODs on his TommyVODS channel.

Tommy is considered one of the fastest-rising breakout stars by the Twitch, YouTube, and Minecraft communities.

History

Tommy began streaming consistently on Twitch in late 2018.

Tommy first started uploading videos to his old channel, ChannelNutPig, in October 2015.

MC Championship

Starting on February 9, 2020, Tommy participated in every MC Championship (debuting in MCC 2).

In MCC 4, he teamed with Ph1LzA, Techno, and Wilbur Soot as the Purple Pandas and placed first.

In MCC 5, he teamed with Vikkstar123, PeteZahHutt, and Eret, and started a bit where he was obsessed with Vik and agreed with everything Vik said.

Prior to MCC 8, Tommy met Phil, Wilbur, and several others in Brighton, England. During this meetup, he bought two vlog guns (nerf guns), which he left with Wilbur. In MCC 8, Wilbur proposed a deal to mail Tommy his vlog guns if their team placed 5th or higher; however, due to event glitches, the team placed 6th and Wilbur destroyed one of the guns. Wilbur proposed this deal again in MCC 9, with slightly different terms. The team placed 5th and Wilbur officially welcomed Tommy into SBI. However, Wilbur also accidentally broke the last vlog gun when trying to fire a victory shot.

Brighton Meetup

On August 13, 2020, Tommy met Phil, Wilbur, Niki Nihachu, Fundy, and others in Brighton, England. Tommy made a vlog of the trip, which is currently his most popular video. During the trip, Tommy and Tubbo met and streamed from Tubbo's house. Tommy and Wilbur then went to an arcade, where Tommy bought his two vlog guns. They also met Niki and Fundy briefly, although the vlog does not feature them much.

SMPEarth

Tommy joined SMPEarth on November 22, 2019 and established the faction Business Bay. He quickly met with other members, such as Captain Sparklez and Techno. Business Bay was also a major part of the Great SMPEarth War and started multiple fights, usually with the Antarctic Empire.

Dream SMP

Tommy joined the Dream SMP on July 4, 2020. He immediately started conflict between himself and the Dream Team (Dream, GeorgeNotFound, and Sapnap). Upon Wilbur's urging, this later transitioned into basic roleplay and evolved into the Disc War, which lasted until January 20, 2021. The conflict developed around Tommy and Tubbo fighting against Dream for Tommy's two precious discs, "cat" and "mellohi".

Tommy's popularity grew when he and Wilbur started the nation of L'Manberg in the server, which conflicts quickly rose around. He established a loyal but arrogant and quick-tempered character and played essential roles in the Dream SMP lore, leading many fans to consider his character the main character of the server. Currently, he still drives many plot points on the SMP and streams lore regularly. He has also created a few Dream SMP videos.

Funny Minecraft videos

Currently, Tommy frequently posts funny Minecraft content. There are several types of Minecraft videos he makes, which are all popular and have spawned several inside jokes: speaking to family members in Minecraft, funniest Minecraft videos ever, and storytime videos.

Tommy began creating "Speaking to Family Members in Minecraft" videos on September 10, 2020, with "I Spoke To Dream's Mom". Throughout the series, he speaks to several Dream SMP members' family members, usually their sisters. Dream's younger sister, dubbed Drista, commonly appears in these videos.

Tommy posts "The Funniest Minecraft Videos Ever" most often, with his first video posted on December 9, 2020. In these videos, he joins other popular content creators (including Phil, Wilbur, Schlatt, Slimecicle, Ranboo, and George) and attempts to kill the ender dragon while using mods. While they often fail to accomplish this goal due to prioritizing funny bits, these videos are hilarious and often have titles with the words "1000% funnier" or "funniest mod".

In addition to family member and funniest ever videos, Tommy posts storytime videos occasionally. His first storytime video was posted on May 1, 2020. He describes real-life events, such as getting recognized in public and how his school found his channel.

Origins SMP

Tommy and Wilbur created the Origins SMP on February 11, 2021. Tommy was initially mocked and often compared to a chicken due to slow falling and faster running being his two main abilities. He also set up a pub with JackManifoldTV, which he neglected, and built a work palace, which Phil blew up for being "nothing". However, he later created Innit Incorporated. Under the new Superhero Programme, he recruited Phil as "Crow Father, champion of Mortlake" and sent Phil to fight crimes, despite the crimes being fabricated by Tommy and Ranboo.

In April 2021, Tommy met Wilbur, George, Vik, and KSI in London as part of the London Meetup. He then began planning to create a vlogs channel, where he and other content creators would do various activities. On June 1, 2021, he began uploading to his new channel, Tom Simons.

Currently, Tommy uploads vlogs often on the Tom Simons channel. The vlogs show him and his friends performing risky or comical activities that range from skydiving to playing on a water course.

• Tommy has two dogs named Walter and Betty.
• Tommy claims to be 6'3". However, fans have questioned whether this is true or not after comparing his height to other people's in photos, making Tommy's height an inside joke.
• Tommy is known for drinking Coca-Cola and playing Animal Crossing music on his streams.
• On January 27, 2022, Tommy moved to Brighton. However, he encountered several problems when he arrived: in his apartment, the boiler was broken, carbon monoxide was leaking into the apartment, and his items were locked away. He resorted to living with Will.
• On March 13, 2022, Tommy won a Streamer Award for Best Minecraft Streamer.
